Hello. It's me once again. Whoever I am. Anyway, this was our last practical before our FINAL individual practical exam. Yup. As you can tell from the post about our unsuccessful outcome of the 'cookies', A WHOLE LOT of improvement was needed to be made right? And so we did. If you have yet to do so, take a look at the pictures above. Looking good ey, those cookies? Well, just so you know because I know you don't know, they TASTE well too! Don't believe me? I think I still have some left in my container at home. But I think it's expired. ANYWAY, we did alot of adjustments to the recipe and ingredients on our own as we realised we could not solely rely on the recipes gotten from the internet (refer to 3rd Practical post pls). Not that we ONLY relied on that. -.- Yup. So despite those adjustments made beforehand, there were still some minor adjustments which had to be made during the process of mixing the ingredients as we realized that everything was UNBALANCED. Luckily, we were soon able to even out each amount of ingredient and it turned out successful after all. Phew.

By the way, this recipe is also one of our HEALTHIER CHOICES! Believe me, this was one of the recipes which required minimal amount of sugar. :D I hope I remembered that correctly. Okay, the end!

CAMILLE CAMILL E
Hihi, so this was our 4th one. The modified version of erm..the cookies, Yup the bad one.But hey! This is good right? At least it was delicious and tasty and and nice. I guess we did alot but somehow many disappeared because of charmaine..we took out and put it in our container one by one but somehow it disappeared. Ok, back to the topic. We had some difficulties cause the butter and all wasn't working quite well, Everything were falling apart? Yup but we tried adding more things to balance out our ingredients.."never trust internet recipes" Yup. Well, we also got some comments from the auntie? As we stayed back to do our practical because of the national celebrations and so on. Unlucky batch aren't we? Oh well. The shapes are done by ourselves obviously....they are not very pretty but edible at least. We made sure they were cute and small and far apart *wink* if you get the joke.

HURRAY.

Clara's Practical

Hi. For my practical, I chose to bake cupcakes/muffin (I cant really tell the difference so let's just stick to Cupcake). Yup. I named my cupcakes Rainbow Cupcakes. The whole process of making the cupcakes was superrr exhausting. No, actually the only energy-draining part of the process was when I had to wait for my dear old cupcakes to bake. Squatting in front of the oven results in many cute little beads of perspiration rolling down your forehead you know. Anyway, back to the point. I think that all the work paid off (sort of) as I was QUITE satisfied with my final outcome, though I was told that it's too sticky and stuff. I mean the contents of the cupcake. I supposed I'd put too much butter? Eee. Okay, I guess I need to work on that. Anyway, for my cupcakes this time I lowered the sugar content and stuffs, as I realized that previously, alot of sugar was added. So yup, made alot of adjustments and improvements. And...that's about it. I miss baking. Bye.

1st PRACTICAL
Yes it is our first practical, it was quite successful for the first. Everything turned out well. The muffins were all good and just right. They were not too sweet nor were they too plain. Great! We added fruits and whip cream on the muffins but it wasn't really healthy therefore we took it out on the modified version. However, we got to do different patterns on designing the look of the muffins with the strawberries and whip cream. They were pretty! Pretty like flowers among the bushes. It was for decoration and presentation wise. Many positive feedbacks were given and i was pleased with it. However, there is always room for improvement right? It's always the case. Oh well, but i guess for decoration wise this looks better than the modified version? More colourful and pretty. But sometimes colourful and pretty don't do the trick if you want to be healthy wealthy!;)

HI. It's me clara yet again.. Coming here to do ma thang..Okay anyway, about our FIRST practical. You'd think that our first would be the worst eh? But no! It was the one which went without a hitch! Yay. Well, I'm just talking about the process and stuff. As for the final outcome, like camille stated above, the whip cream as the topping wasn't that good a choice as we were told that HEALTHY should be what we're aiming for. oh well, improvements can always be made right? As for the cut strawberries for the topping too I think it was quite a healthy choice. It being a fruit rich in Vitamin C. Is it Vitamin C? I think it is Vitamin C. But all fruits are good for us :) The End.

Camille's FINAL FINAL PRACTICAL.
Well, my practical exam was really hectic. I was rushing, perspiring nonstop. But it turned out okay! At first the final mixed product was a bit too watery. When it was in the oven, alot of oil came out, i thought i will fail but it did not fail on me. I was glad enough. As you can see the first picture is my chopped walnuts. So now you know. My muffins are called Walnutnut muffins. I chose walnut as it is healthy and high in protein. In my whole presentation, i have a glass of milk for my drink, a bar of almond dark chocolate which is healthier than normal milk chocolate and i also cut heart-shaped carrots and placed dark chocolate on it for decoration but of course it is edible. The 2nd picture is my basic ingredients for the muffins. The 3rd one is my heart-shaped carrots, ain't they cute?! :D All in all, it was great!

2nd PRACTICAL
This is our 2nd practical which is our modified first recipe. The first picture is when i was mixing the ingredients. They are quite similar with the cookies recipes. That's why they look the same. The2nd and 3rd picture is during the baking time. While waiting for the muffins to bake, we washed our cutleries , bowls and plates we used. In order to make sure we do not waste any time on waiting, we can do some multi-tasking. The 4th picture is when the cutleries and everything are all washed and clean to show Ms Aisyah for checking. Lastly, the 5th picture is our muffins. They are the ones on the right corner of the upper row. We had to share the oven as our oven were not working. Our muffins worked out way better than our cookies. Therefore, i chose to do muffins instead of cookies. This muffins is modified as we added oreo which did not seemed to be the right choice as it made the muffins more unhealthy and therefore the sugar level increased.
I guess marks were taken away for that.

Obviously these are our muffins and us..pretending to be very free.
But in any case, we were happy as it was a success so..HURRAY!

HI CLARA HERE. Er okay this was our second practical and I dont have any pictures to add on, so just look at those above. It's not the best recipe we had chosen as instead of improving our muffins by making it HEALTHIER, we sort of went the other way. *points fingers to Oreo bits* "it's all your fault, oreooo!!" okay, so now we know that oreo isnt the best ingredient to make a recipe more TASTY. (but I must say this was the best muffin we baked. my mother and my aunty liked it. very nice. if only marks were given for taste..) And let's see...oh yes, we split the work of collecting ingredients so as to speed things up a little (dont you hate time limits). If I'm not wrong we improved on our time management in this 2nd practical? Yeah, cause during the 1st practical we sort of ran out of time. But I dont remember having to throw away the garbage.. Oh yes because we weren't exactly the last group. Home Economics is something like the Amazing Race, you could say. Just less thinking required.

To end off, I would like to say that I like our cupcakes. Bye.

3rd Practical
sieving

mixing
bakingAs you can see from the above pictures, those were taken during the practical. The First picture shows the sieving process i carried it out where the flour is sieved with baking powder. The second one is the mixing process where we mixed all the ingredients together before putting them into the tray in our desired shapes. Because of our naiviety and inexperience, the cookies did not turn out so well.Obviously the third picture shows our cookies which unfortunately looks like bread. They were not enormously huge but then again, way too big to be cookies. All in all, the outcome is better left unsaid. It was a good attempt but none the less, a failure, resulting in the cookies tasting like salt. TOO MUCH SALT, way too much. The ingredients added were of all the wrong proportions, i suppose! As you can see, there are also black spots on the cookies. They are the chocolate chips mixed in the dough before beind baked!

HI, CLARA HERE. Im always here. Sometimes there, too. Okay, anyway now to talk about our 3rd practical. (this should be interesting...) Okay well as you can see camille didn't really state what was the final outcome of our 'cookies'...(heheh)...Im not sure if Im supposed to reveal the final outcome. But I suppose you could already guess right?....... Yes, you are RIGHT. But shhh. Does anyone want to see the final outcome? Ms Aisyah, if it's necessary for us to put up the picture of our final outcome do inform us! :D We just cant do it now. Bye.
